Anxiously wanting to visit the remains of Hanover Airport, I figured my best shot would be to venture out early in the morning. Not only thinking that it would yield nicer photographs, but also hoping to avoid as much traffic/people and inevitably attention of proper authority. So finally the right morning came, and around 8am I turned my suppositions into action.

Recently I've come across another great modern explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes. In a interview he did with BBC's Top Gear (Season 4 episode 9) we really see a great man. Cultured and shaped from a life of adversity. Maybe I'm speaking too freely of him, but through his dry wit, past accomplishments and the striking grief caused recently deceased wife. We see in a short while, a man with a strong sense of pride, strict morals and a broad emotional palette. Honorable qualities, indeed. I found the part where he discusses his wife so saddening, that I've posted it below.

Listening to a really old Chuck Missler radio program that was grouped in with some equally aged Art Bell episodes, I heard a very interesting interview with Chuck's friend, Bob Cornuke. What Bob does is, by taking The Bible literally he has been able to use it as a map. Thus leading him to some of the holiest of sites, spoken of throughout the book. One of the most interesting being the real "Mt. Sinai". This excursion is also showcased in a video done with the production company that seemingly would go onto work with Tim and Eric. It takes some work not to chuckle at the dramatic ending montage. More importantly though, it puts an actual image to the things he discusses in the radio program, and pictures of what could have been the setting of the Old Testament! Exciting indeed. You don't have to be religious in any nature to appreciate finds like this.

A decent review of the "The Search for The Real Mt. Sinai" DVD,
More telling might be a reference to Midian in Exodus 18:1 which occurred before the Israelites reached Mt. Sinai, and Midian according to Bible maps was located in present-day Saudi Arabia. Williams says the phrase “out of Egypt” occurs 72 times in the Bible in describing the Exodus. The Sinai peninsula at that time was in control of the Egyptian army, he says, with a significant military presence. It would seem logical God would have led His people out of this peninsula.
